How to Steep the flowers and leaves of Saint John's Grass or "Ivy"

How long should we steep St. John's "Ivy" or Grass?

The Blessed Virgin Mary does not specify a steeping time. 

However, with more delicate flowers, the steeping time is usually 3 minutes. Cover your cup. Before putting in the boiled water, the flowers should be wet with a bit of room temperature water to protect the petals from the boiling water.
